Thanksgiving - 2004.

An American holiday, down under!

Conda willingly participated in the holidays that mattered to me and my family as Australians. It seemed only fitting that we reciprocate and recognize Thanksgiving for her.

In a serious oversight, the only food of our Thanksgiving dinner I managed to take a picture of was the $90 turkey. In Australia we don't normally celebrate Thanksgiving and mostly only have turkey at Christmas so getting a suitable turkey wasn't easy but the one we got was great.

Here in Victoria we were heading into our summer. Thanksgiving day was hot and the temperature in the kitchen was increased by the heat of the oven.

As the sun went down however, it became quite pleasant.

Although the table was now clear, we did enjoy the traditional Thanksgiving Feast.

It was great to share the occasion with family and friends.

Ken helped create ambiance with this contribution to the festivities.

After dark is the time for rebels, so Ken replaced the flags to suit.
